NGRID Teacher Advisory Panel

These teachers lend their expertise to the development of NGRID’s educational materials and teacher outreach program.

Susan O'Connell teaches 3rd grade at Rosendale Elementary School in Niskayuna, NY. She has an MA in elementary education and certification in English for grades 7-12. She is a trustee (board member) for the North Greenbush Common School District, and has been teaching for 11 years.

Kelly Hall teaches 4th grade at the Charles J. Jaworek Elementary School in Marlborough, MA. She has an MA in education and has been teaching for 20 years. She has participated in many curriculum committees, and is looking forward to becoming the elementary mentor coordinator for her school system during the 2012-2013 school year.

Paul Berizzi teaches 6th-8th grades at the School for the Urban Environment in Brooklyn, NY. He is a science teacher mentor, and a NYC Teaching Fellow. He has taught for 7 years.

Amy Lauer teaches 7th grade at Fredonia Middle School in Fredonia, NY. She is a member of the National Science Teachers Association, the National Middle School Teachers Association, and the National Board of Certified Teachers. She has taught for 7 years.

Rich McGrath teaches 3rd grade at Rice Square School in Worcester, MA, and has taught grades 4-6 in the past. He is also a computer instructor and a school district technology trainer. He has been teaching for 20 years.

Cheryl Beck teaches 4th grade at Kingsford Park Elementary in Oswego, NY. She is a member of the NY State Teachers Union, and the NY Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. She has taught for 19 years.

Amy Steiger teaches 4th grade at Crisafulli School in Wesford, MA. She has an MA in reading, is an adjunct professor at Merrimack College, and has served on multiple task committees in her school district. She has taught for 10 years.

Lorice Daignault currently teaches 4th grade at George West Elementary in Providence, RI, and taught 5th grade for 16 years prior to that. She has an MA in counseling and guidance from Providence College, and runs her school’s after-school program. She has been teaching in the inner city schools for 18 years.

Amy Elsworth teaches 3rd grade at Lake Avenue Elementary in Saratoga Springs, NY. She has taught for 12 years.
